Movie Marathon Fundraiser For Bruce Grey Teens

Teenagers across Grey and Bruce counties have a chance to stay up all night watching movies, and have the proceeds going to a good cause.

It's the 12th annual Starlight Film Festival at Galaxy Cinemas in Owen Sound. It's a fundraiser for the Bruce Grey United Way.

For $20, they get to see four back-to-back movies starting at midnight tonight [Friday], along with unlimited pop and popcorn.

Money raised goes to support United Way youth oriented projects like the breakfast program and the back pack program. Tickets are still available through the high schools in Grey and Bruce.

"They all talk about it the following week and everybody looks forward to it. It's just a lot of fun and it's very safe," says United Way Executive Director Francesca Dobbyn. "We have Grey County OPP paid duty there as well as St. John Ambulance."
