Rollover Crash In Duncan McLellan Park

Owen Sound police have charged a 26-year-old woman after a vehicle crashed in Duncan McLellan Park early Sunday morning.

Police say a 2013 Ford Edge was travelling southbound on 8th Ave. E at around 3am, when it failed to stop at the intersection of 18th St. E. Police say the vehicle then drove into the park, striking two sizable trees before flipping and landing on its roof near a concession building.

The 26-year-old female driver sustained only minor injuries.

Following a breathalyzer test in hospital, the woman was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with excess blood alcohol.

She was released from custody and will appear in court in May.
