Grey Highlands Turbine Opponents Plan Meeting

A wind turbine debate in Grey Highlands will be in the spotlight later this week.

The community group Grey Highlands Wind Concerns is holding a public meeting to update local residents on two Environmental Review Tribunal appeals.

Capstone Infrastructure is proposing construction of a number of industrial wind turbines in certain sections of Grey Highlands.

The first appeal is scheduled for May 4th in the Kinplex in Flesherton. The second hearing is set to begin June 11th.

The community rally against the wind turbines is Thursday night at 7:00 o'clock in the Maxwell Community Hall.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
