North Perth Supports MPP's Hydro Petition

The MPP for Perth-Wellington is getting support from North Perth council for his petition to have hydro rates reduced.

Pettapiece released the petition April 17th, and is calling for the government to ensure that families, farmers and businesses have affordable and reliable energy.

Pettapiece noted "Since the Liberals have taken office, electricity rates have tripled and hydro bills have skyrocketed by 56 per cent. This is completely unacceptable."

Mayor Julie Behrns made a motion that would see North Perth council support his petition.

The petition and a report can be found on Randy Pettapiece’s website.
