New Bruce Grey Catholic School Director

The Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board has found its new director of education.

The Board of Trustees has announced the appointment of Jamie McKinnon to the position.

A teacher, principal and superintendent for over 28 years in Catholic education, he succeeds Cathy Montreuil who has accepted a position with the Ministry of Education.

Jamie McKinnon is currently the superintendent of education with the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board.

Prior to becoming superintendent, Jamie was a teacher, department head, vice principal and principal at Waterloo Catholic District School Board.

He will start with the Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board effective July 20.

“We are confident that in the appointment of Jamie McKinnon, we have found a system leader who can continue the great strides our board has made with respect to student achievement and provide inspired Catholic leadership into the future,” says Chair of the Board Beverley Eckensweiler.
