New Internal Medicine Specialist In Stratford

The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance will soon welcome a new member to the Stratford hospital medical staff.

Internal Medicine Specialist Dr. Catherine Barry joins the alliance this month.

The Newfoundland native completed her Doctorate of Medicine at Memorial University. She then completed her Core Internal Medicine training at Queen's University in Kingston and acted as chief resident for a year.

That was followed by a fellowship at Queen's in general internal medicine.

"I have enjoyed working in Stratford, both as a resident and a locum. I am happy to be joining the Internal Medicine team and becoming part of the community," says Barry.

“Catherine has spent time with us as a locum over the past few months and we have already seen that she is an excellent fit with the Internal Medicine Department and the Alliance," says HPHA Chief of Staff Dr. Laurel Moore. "Most importantly her arrival will enable improved access for patient care.”
