Walk A Mile In Her Shoes Coming Up

Men of Grey and Bruce counties are once again being invited to put on a pair of women’s heels for charity.

The third annual Walk A Mile in Her Shoes fundraisers are coming soon.

Organizers are looking for men who are brave enough to walk a mile in a pair of women’s heels to bring awareness to the need to end violence against women.

Those willing to 'walk the walk' are asked to gather pledges from friends, family, co-workers and workplaces.

The Port Elgin event May 24 will support Women’s House Serving Bruce and Grey, the Owen Sound event May 31 will support The Women’s Centre Grey and Bruce, and the Hanover event June 20 will benefit both organizations.

Last year, over $20,000 was raised for the two shelters.

There are three locations in which men can take the pledge within Grey and Bruce: Sunday, May 24 at the Queen’s Bar and Grill in Port Elgin Sunday, May 31 at Harrison Park in Owen Sound Saturday, June 20 at Queen’s Bush in Hanover
