Prescription Drug Drop Off Day Saturday

This Saturday is Prescription Drug Drop Off Day in the region. It's an opportunity for residents to dispose of old and unused prescription medication in a secure, environmentally-friendly manner.

There will be collection locations throughout Midwestern Ontario; open from 10:00 to 3:00 Saturday.

At some of the locations, you don't even have to get out of your vehicle to dispose of outdated and unwanted prescription drugs.

Drop Off Locations are:

Bruce County OPP office, 508 Berford Street, Wiarton South Bruce OPP office, 700 Kincardine Avenue, Kincardine South Bruce OPP office, 25 Bruce County Road 19, Walkerton

Markdale Foodland parking lot, 217 Toronto Street South, Markdale.

Exeter OPP Detachment office, 245 Main Street North, Exeter Maitland Valley Medical Centre, 180 Cambria Road North, Goderich

North Perth OPP Detachment office, 330 Wallace Ave North, Listowel St Marys Fire Hall, 172 James Street, St Marys West Perth Fire Hall, St. David Street, Mitchell

Centre Wellington OPP Operations Centre, 470 Wellington County Road 18, Fergus.

Prescription Drug Drop-off Day is supported by the Ontario Provincial Police, Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police, the Government of Ontario, and Public Safety Canada.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
