Owen Sound Police Concerned About Medication In A Stolen Purse

The Owen Sound Police Service has issued a public safety notice about some stolen medication.

Between 7:50am and 8:20am yesterday morning, a black magazine-sized purse was stolen from the front passenger compartment of a parked car. The victim reports it occurred either at a fast-food outlet’s parking lot at 9th St. and 10th Ave. E, or while the car was parked along the curb in the 800-block of 2nd Ave. E.

The purse is black with a prominent silver 'G' and zipper-top.

Two prescription bottles containing burgundy and orange pills, prescribed to treat severe pain, were in the purse. An overdose of those pills can be fatal.

Anyone finding these medications should contact the Owen Sound Police Service immediately.
