Perth Huron United Way Responds To Social Needs

The Perth-Huron United Way is expanding its role to better serve the community.

Executive Director Ryan Erb explains the agency will continue to be a fund-raiser to support charitable organizations in the community. But he says they also hope to play a larger role in responding to the social needs of the community.

Erb sees the United Way as a facilitator that can draw community partners together to address the changing needs of the community such as social research, community planning and community development.

He adds they will also continue to develop new programs as the need for them arises, but will continue to function in their traditional role as fund-raiser.
