Bluewater Hires Roof Diagnostic Company

The Municipality of Bluewater has ordered a Roof Diagnostic Analysis on three municipal facilities.

A province grant will help the municipality hire Ontario Roof Consultants to look at the Hensall and District Community Centre, the Bayfield Community Centre and Arena, and the Stanley Community Complex.

They will provide a written report on the the roof life expectancies, results of condition tests, budgetary information for capital upgrades, and preventative maintenance suggestions.

The $3,900 cost will be paid from a $604,000 grant from the Investing in Ontario Act.

“Like every municipality, we have aging facilities and infrastructure that require ongoing investments and upgrades to maintain them for our residents and future residents,” says Mayor Tyler Hessel.  “At the same time, our ability to fund these capital upgrades is becoming more challenging. We’re thankful for the funding from the provincial government, and this independent analysis from Ontario Roof Consultants will help Council make strategic decisions about our facilities and plan for the future."
