Fire Burns Shakespeare Antique Store

Fire tore through an antique shop in Shakespeare.

Firefighters from the Shakespeare and Sebringville stations responded and were on scene at Land and Ross Antiques early last evening. They were assisted by a Milverton crew because the arieal truck was needed.

The fire blocked Hwy. 7/8 at Road 107 for a time. Damage is in the hundreds of thousands but there were no reported injuries.

The cause has not been determined but it is not considered suspicious.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
