Minto Council Goes Paperless

With the success of Wellington County's Green Legacy tree-planting program, Minto council is trying to go paperless.

Plans include tablets or computers for councillors to replace paper agendas and background information.

Getting agenda information electronically will be more convenient for council members and less time-consuming for staff to prepare. It will also reduce the amount of printed paper generated for each meeting.

The upgrades are coming in below budget at about $25,000.

There will also be a new display of historical photos in the Minto council chambers.
