Prescription Drug Drop Off Day In The Region

This is Prescription Drug Drop Off Day in our region.

Residents are encouraged to dispose of outdated and unwanted prescription drugs in an environmentally-friendly and secure manner.

Drop off locations are set up throughout midwestern Ontario, and are open from 10am until 3pm. Many of them are staffed by OPP officers who will greet you at your vehicle, so you don't even have to get out.

Drop off locations are:

  • Bruce County OPP office, 508 Berford St., Wiarton
  • South Bruce OPP office, 700 Kincardine Ave., Kincardine
  • South Bruce OPP office, 25 Bruce County Rd. 19, Walkerton
  • Markdale Foodland parking lot, 217 Toronto St. S, Markdale.
  • Exeter OPP Detachment office, 245 Main St. N, Exeter
  • Maitland Valley Medical Centre, 180 Cambria Rd. N, Goderich
  • North Perth OPP Detachment office, 330 Wallace Ave. N, Listowel
  • St Marys Fire Hall, 172 James St., St Marys
  • West Perth Fire Hall, St. David St., Mitchell
  • Centre Wellington OPP Operations Centre, 470 Wellington County Rd. 18, Fergus.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
