Wingham Police Search For Driver In Sacred Heart School Crash

Wingham police are on the lookout for suspects after a car smashed into Sacred Heart School on Sunday.

Police were called to the school early in the morning after alarms went off, to find a car had drove through the soccer field at F.E Madill School and crashed into the building.

The force of the vehicle's impact caused extensive damage to the side of the school. Smashed glass and bricks were found surrounding the site.

The driver was not found at the scene by officers but they were able to track down the owner of the car. The owner told police that the vehicle must have been stolen.

An investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
