Contractor Injured In Fall In Centre Wellington

A mishap this morning at a home under construction in Centre Wellington Township has left one man in hospital.

About 10:20 this morning Wellington County OPP officers responded to a call to a residence located on Orangeville Road.

Investigation revealed that a local contractor hired to complete exterior renovations on a house under construction was on scaffolding, working on a second floor window when the scaffolding collapsed.

Centre Wellington Fire Rescue Department along with Guelph /Wellington Emergency Services (EMS) also attended the scene.

A 55-year-old male victim was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with serious injuries and subsequently transported to a Hamilton Hospital.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
