Two Speeders Stopped In Huron County

A couple of Huron East residents face a charge Race a Motor Vehicle.

One of the stops was made early last evening on Brandon Rd. which runs east-west between Ethel and Hwy. 4. An OPP officer flagged down a SUV that was measured going 181 km/h in an 80 km/h zone. A 53-year old Huron East woman had her licence suspended and vehicle impounded for seven days.

And a 39-year old Huron East man faces the same charge after being stopped on Friday at around 7:45pm. The car was headed west on Hydro Line Rd. southeast of Clinton and was clocked going 50 km/h over the posted 80 km/h limit.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
