New Plan For Southwest Economic Alliance

The Chair of the Southwest Economic Alliance says this week's Annual General meeting will be a watershed moment for the organization.

John Grace explains the resignation of the President last December has created an opportunity to re-organize.

Grace adds at this week's AGM they will present the membership with a new proposal for regional economic development moving forward.

Grace says they hope to build partnerships with the Western Wardens Caucus as well as other regional economic development boards.

He says too often economic development organizations are working in isolation when they could accomplish so much more working together and speaking with one voice.

Grace adds Swea plans to be more active in economic development research as well as lobbying both the Federal and Provincial governments.
