North Huron Bans Horses on Rail Trail

The Reeve of North Huron says some statements regarding the Goderich to Guelph Trail are inaccurate.

Neil Vincent explains North Huron looks after the part of the trail that crosses Blyth Road in the west to Elevator Road in the East.

Vincent says council prohibited horse-back riding on their part of the trail because in wet weather horses can dig up a trail just as much as four-wheelers can.

He also pointed out that the North Huron part of the trail that extends into Morris-Turnberry is still closed.

They are waiting to find out what their liability is for their part of the trail that extends into another municipality.
