We Day in Port Elgin Today

450 students from the Bluewater, and Bruce Grey Catholic District School Boards are gathering today in Port Elgin.

The elementary students are taking part in We Day at the Unifor Family Education Centre.

The day is aimed at empowering others, encouraging leadership and celebrating works of social justice in schools.

Students will be treated to performers and motivational speakers. The will also learn about some of the most important local and global issues.

Staff with both school board organized the event, after poor weather forced the cancellation of a trip to We Day in Waterloo this past November.
