Kincardine Fishing Derby Set To Begin

Hundreds of anglers big and small, male and female, will be heading for Kincardine later this week.

Friday is Opening Day for the 30th Annual Canadian Tire Fish Kincardine Derby.

The ten-day event also features a ladies day, a seniors day and a kids day. The closing day and the official wrap-up is Sunday, May 24.

Winners in the biggest salmon and trout categories get a $1,000 shopping spree at Lake Huron Rod and Gun. There are also prizes for the fish of the day, and the hidden weight.

The grand prize this year is a $5,000 shopping spree at the Kincardine Canadian Tire.

Tickets in Kincardine are available at Canadian Tire, Hi-Way Variety and Lake Huron Rod and Gun.
