New Construction Strong In Wellington North

New construction remains strong in Wellington North.

The municipality issued 43 permits to the end of April, compared to 39 for the same period last year.

Chief Building Official Darren Jones' report shows the value of permits issued in the first four months totaled $5.2-million.

That compares to $3.6-million for the same period last year.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
