Stolen Vehicle Torched Near Chatsworth

Grey County OPP called in the Canine Unit and Emergency Response Tactical Unit after reports of a vehicle on fire in a field in Chatsworth on Monday.

Police say the fire department doused the flames and confirmed there were no occupants in the destroyed vehicle.

In investigation revealed the 2004 Ford F150 Pick-up was stolen from the Next Level parking lot on Garafraxa St. in Chatsworth sometime after 8pm Sunday night.

The fire occurred near Grey Rd. 29 and Sideroad 3. The investigation is ongoing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
