Chesley fire officials say they were called to the 4th Ave. address at around 3:30pm.
Those officials have not released a cause of the blaze yet.
There were no injuries reported.
SPS Board Chair Kelly Ash said the decision followed discussions with Acting Chief Mike Federico and aligns with practices at other police services.
The annual Canada Day parade will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, from Wildwood Park to Kenwick Park.
