Huron County Museum Plan World Museum Day On Monday

This is a special weekend at the Huron County Museum and Historic Gaol.

Sinead Cox, the education and programming assistant at the museum, says they're celebrating International Museum Day on Monday with special exhibits and a film honouring Queen Victoria.

At the Historic Gaol, they're highlighting stories of escapes from the jail in Goderich and some of the measures taken to prevent them.

"We can talk about real escapes that happened and some of the measures that the County and staff took to prevent escape," Cox tells CKNX News. "So we had escapes over the walls, through the Governer's house, on moving trains while being transported elsewhere."

Cox also points out the normal fees at both the museum and gaol are being waived for the weekend and admission is by donation.
