Black Bear In Owen Sound

The Owen Sound Police are monitoring the movement of a black bear that has wandered into the city.

The bear has shown no signs of aggression but police are advising the public who live in the area of 10th Street to 8th Street East, both above and below the hill, to be aware there is a bear in the area.

Do not approach the animal and do not let your pets and family wander into the wooded area.

A bear technician from the MNR is responding to the city.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
