Employment Help for Perth Wellington Students

60 students in Perth Wellington will have access to summer jobs, and valuable experience thanks to the Canada Summer Jobs program.

Employment and Social Development announced $169,000.00 in funding for student summer jobs in the region.

Across Canada, the program is expected to created 35,000 jobs this summer.

Perth Wellington MP Gary Schellenberger says the program helps students, employers and the local economy.

He says young people can gain skills and experience.

“Through Canada Summer Jobs, we are helping to equip young Canadians with the skills and experience they need to get jobs now and prepare for the workforce of tomorrow", reads a statement from MP Gary Schellenberger. "By creating jobs for youth in Perth Wellington , Canada Summer Jobs helps students, employers and our local economy. It is yet another example of how our government is creating jobs and economic growth.”
