Minto Considers New Columbariums for Harriston and Palmerston Cemeteries

Minto is trying to determine if there is a need for a columbarium at the cemeteries in Harriston or Palmerston.

It's a room or building with niches where cremated remains can be stored in appropriate funeral urns.

Deputy Mayor Ron Faulkner says several people have approached him suggesting donations be made for the above ground structures.

The cemetary in Clifford has one, mainly because of a family donation.

Donations can be made to the Town of Minto, dedicated to the purchase of a columbarium.
