Motorcycle Awareness Marked with Events in Huron Perth

A motorcycle awareness campaign is planned in Huron, Bruce, Perth and Oxford Counties to mark Motorcycle Awareness Month.

The Lake Huron Steel Horse Riders Motorcycle Riding Club, and the Association of Bikers for Awareness, Training and Education, or ABATE, have planned events for this weekend.

The campaign kicks off in Mitchell on St. Andrew from 7pm to 9pm tonight.

The campaign will continue Saturday May 23rd from 10 am until 2pm at Sobey's in Kincardine, Canadian Tire in Goderich, Hansons in Exeter, and Zehrs in Woodstock.

Police, firefighters and paramedics will be on had to demonstrate life saving techniques used at the scene of an accident.

Members of local riding clubs will hand out brochures with safety tips, and safe riding courses.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
