Police Arrest 2 at the Scene of a Southgate Break-in

The owners of a vacant residence in Southgate interrupted a break- in after they were called to the scene  by an alarm.

Grey County OPP say the owners arrived at the property on Southgate Road 10 early Saturday morning to find a damaged gate, and an unfamiliar pick up truck parked there.

There were rolls of copper wire inside the truck and voices coming from inside the building.

The owners called 911, and the Emergency Response team attended and contained the scene.

Two men were arrested at the scene without incident.

21 year old Rodney John Kopka of Wellington North, and 20 year old Devon Knowles of Breslau faces charges of break and enter, theft under $5,000. and mischief under $5,000.

They have a court appearance scheduled in Owen Sound for July 9th, 2015.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
