Candidate's Office Opens In Stratford

Perth-Wellington federal candidate Stephen McCotter had some high-profile help in opening his campaign office in Stratford.

Liberal MP Wayne Easter toured the riding yesterday. Stops included St. Marys, Mitchell, Listowel, Clifford and Stratford. Easter has ties to agriculture and also served as Solicitor General of Canada.

Easter says he's heard a lot about the feeling of uncertainty from the people he's talked with.

"Concerns about job security and the economy and what's happening with the manufacturing base in Ontario. A lot of that responsibility rests with the federal government."

Easter and McCotter stopped at a number of local businesses including a farm near Clifford yesterday, before officially opening up McCotter's campaign office in Stratford.
