Funding Creates 116 Huron Bruce Summer Student Jobs

The Canada Summer Jobs Program will fund 116 student positions at over 100 organizations in Huron and Bruce counties.

Over $250,000 will help students gain skills and experience while earning money for the upcoming school year. Since 2009, the program has invested over $1.7 million in Huron Bruce.

“Through Canada Summer Jobs, we are helping to equip young Canadians with the skills and experience they need to get jobs now and prepare for the workforce of tomorrow. By creating jobs for youth in Huron-Bruce, Canada Summer Jobs helps students, employers and our local economy. It is yet another example of how our government is creating jobs and economic growth,” said Ben Lobb, Member of Parliament for Huron-Bruce.
