Grey County Marks Paramedic Week

Grey County Paramedics are marking Paramedic Week with a couple of events.

The annual celebration of the role first responders play in the community also creates awareness of how paramedics contribute to health care and safety.

The theme this year is "Paramedics: Expanding Care."

Grey County's Paramedic Service is moving beyond the ambulance with new programs such as Expanding Paramedicine in the Community, and Remote Patient Monitoring.

Grey County paramedics will be at the Second Chance Reunion Luncheon today. It's a private reunion between recent cardiac arrest patients, and the paramedics who helped them survive.

Tomorrow, paramedics will bring an ambulance to Grant's Your Independent Grocer in Hanover, to stuff it with non perishable food donations for the Salvation Army Food Bank.

That runs from 10am to 4pm.
