Wellington North Prepares For Growth

Major growth is being predicted for Wellington North.

A Wellington County projection shows Wellington North will be the second-fastest growing of the county’s seven municipalities over the next 20 years. That includes a 40 per cent increase in population by 2036.

Only Centre Wellington and the town of Fergus may expand and grow faster.

Mayor Andy Lennox says this is the time to starting planning for it.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
