Goderich Students Help Restore Hindmarsh

A group of Goderich students left their mark this week as part of the restoration of the Hindmarsh Wetlands.

The Grade 7 and 8 students from GDCI Elementary planted over 100 trees on the Hindmarsh farm, just south of Goderich.

The trees will naturalize two wetlands that were constructed last winter.

The project was funded by a number of government and community partners, including the Maitland Valley Conservation Authority, VanDriel Excavating and the Hindmarsh family.

Huron-Bruce MP Ben Lobb is planning an event at the Hindmarsh site later this summer.
