Milverton Murder Suspect's Trial Set For January 2016

Another trial date has been set for the man accused of killing a 17-year-old girl in Milverton in 2012.

Michael Schweitzer's trial will start on January 4, 2016, with a pre-trial meeting set for September 8, 2015.

The dates were confirmed in assignment court Friday morning.

Four weeks have been set aside for the trial.

Schweitzer is facing first-degree murder and attempted murder charges in the death of 17-year-old Nicole Wagler and injury of Tyler Baker in December of 2012.

Schweitzer's initial trial, which was scheduled to start in March, was postponed after he and his lawyer severed ties.

His new lawyer, Phil Millar, was present at Friday's proceedings.
