Bruce Power Scholarship Program Opens Monday

Bruce Power's post-secondary scholarship program opens on Monday.

It's for students from Bruce, Grey and Huron counties who are enrolled in a skilled-trade, college or university for the 2015/16 academic year. There are no limitations on areas of study.

Bruce Power is offering the $500 scholarships to 100 students. The application period opens Monday and closes July 3 at 3pm.

To apply, students are asked to visit www.brucepower.com/community/scholarships.

“Education opens so many doors for people and, as the region’s largest employer, we feel a responsibility to encourage and support our youth in pursuing post-secondary education,” says Duncan Hawthorne, president and CEO of Bruce Power. “We hope that by providing an opportunity of financial assistance to eligible students in our surrounding communities, it will help to cover some of the rising costs of tuition."
