Goderich Hospital CEO Looks to Improve Partnerships

The C-E-O of the Alexandra Marine and General Hospital in Goderich says hospitals have to do a better job of working with their community partners.

Karen Davis feels they have not been as pro-active as they can be in forming partnerships within the community and she has made presentations to several municipal councils to improve the relationship between the hospital and the councils.

Davis points out the hospital is usually one of the biggest employers in a small community so the decision they make impact a lot of people. But she says those decisions are often made with out consulting community partners, and she wants to change that.

She hopes to make regular presentations of local councils in the future.
