Two Charged In Brussels Break-in

Two people face charges following a break, enter and theft early Tuesday at a Brussels business.

Sometime early Tuesday, someone forced entry into three sheds at the McDonald Home Hardware Building Centre on Turnberry Street.

Once inside the sheds, the two suspects stole a quantity of pressure treated lumber, a table saw, a pressure washer, an insulation blower and various power tools.

They loaded all of the stolen property into a yellow Dodge Ram pickup truck and a flatbed trailer that belonged to Home Hardware.

During the noon hour Tuesday, OPP officers observed the stolen pickup truck and trailer travelling southbound on Perth Road 183 south of St. Columban.

The pickup truck was stopped and the occupants were placed under arrest for possession of stolen property.

A 22-year-old Bluewater male and a 20-year-old Huron East male face numerous charges including break, enter and theft of motor vehicle.
