Transit Extended for Owen Sound's Pan Am Torch Party

Owen Sound Transit will extend service during the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am Torch Relay Community Celebration on Thursday.

The event takes place from 5 to 8pm at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre South Parking Lot to mark the arrival of the Pan Am Games Torch Relay to the city.

Services will be extended until 9pm with all normal fares applied.

Buses for all four routes will leave the Bayshore Community Centre at 8:30 pm.

Limited vehicle parking will be available in the North Parking Lot at the Bayshore Community Centre and the Grey Bruce Health Unit.

The torch relay will make its way through downtown Owen Sound between 6:20 and 7pm.

Rolling road closures will take place between 9th Avenue East, down 6th Street East and across 2nd Avenue East.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
