South Bruce OPP Hire New Commander

South Bruce OPP has announced Dana Earley will be the new detachment commander.

OPP West Region Chief Superintendent John Cain made the announcement along with the police service boards of Brockton and Kincardine.

“I’m confident that South Bruce OPP and the communities they provide policing service to will be well served by their new Detachment Commander," says Cain.

Earley will get to work quickly with her duties commencing on Monday.

“I’m thrilled to be the detachment commander of South Bruce OPP and honoured to have been trusted with the responsibility," says Earley. "I’m very fortunate to be able to continue working with members of South Bruce Detachment and community partners towards a safer and healthier community.”

Earley has been an OPP officer for 21 years including eight with Huron County OPP before being promoted to staff sergeant of the South Bruce detachment.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
