Bruce Grey Catholic Board Looks for Approval to Expand Two Schools

The Bruce Grey Catholic District School Board is hoping to expand two of its schools.

The Board has submitted capital plans for Sacred Heart School in Mildmay, and St. Basil's School in Owen Sound.

The Mildmay project would put all grades under one roof. An addition to the senior building would add two or three classrooms and would result in a change in average capacity of the Junior and Senior buildings from 55 to 92 percent. It would also mean more efficient use of space.

The St. Basil's proposal is for four additional classrooms and a day-care. There are currently two portables on site, and the library has been converted into a classroom.

These project applications had to be made to the Ministry of Education before July 15th for approval.
