Owen Sound's Waterfront Heritage Centre Annual Meeting Tomorrow

The Community Waterfront Heritage Centre in Owen Sound will report to the public Wednesday evening.

The Board of Directors will host their second Annual General Meeting Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. in the North Atlantic Room of the Owen Sound Legion.

It all started from a community meeting in June, 2013 when a plan was discussed to respond to a request for proposal from the city for the future use of the space on the waterfront.

This work resulted in the keys to the building being turned over to the new board in April of 2014.

The museum was opened for its first season from June to October 2014, during which time attendance greatly increased. There will also be a review of the first year's financial records at Wednesday's meeting.

There will be a video presentation featuring the opening of this community museum 30 years ago and an historical timeline of the museum's years of service.

The city, the Grey County Historical Society and the Community Foundation Grey Bruce are partners with the Community Waterfront Heritage Centre
