Goderich Terminates Lease With Trotting Association

Goderich town council has voted to terminate its lease with the Goderich Trotting Association at the Agricultural Park next year.

The lease will end on June 30 of 2016.

Mayor Kevin Morrison adds the town has a long history with the racing industry but points out the industry has changed, races are no longer held at the Ag. Park and it's now just a practice facility and the town has grown around it.

Morrison adds with the Ag. Park now hosting soccer, ball and the skate board park safety issues entered into his decision but says overall he felt it was time to terminate the lease.
