Owen Sound Meeting On Electoral Reform

Electoral reform will take the spotlight at a meeting in Owen Sound tomorrow night.

Peace and Justice Grey Bruce is hosting the information and discussion session at the Owen Sound and North Grey Union Public Library.

Two candidates for the federal election will attend, with MP Larry Miller declining the invitation due to a prior committment.

Four of five federal political parties agree there needs to be a cross Canada dialogue after the next election to investigate changes to the way Canadians vote.

Some of the topics on the agenda include why change is needed, what alternatives are being considered, and how this affects the voter.

Fair Vote Canada wants proportional representation, and representatives of the group will make a presentation and answer questions at the session.

The two hour meeting will also include a round table discussion.

The free session starts at 7pm.
