High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

A 56-year old North Huron man faces child pornography charges.
Police executed three search warrants yesterday in Seaforth, Bluevale and North Huron. Two computers were among the items seized. Members of the Ontario Provincial Police Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, Technological Crime Unit and the Huron County OPP Detachment were involved in the search.
56-year old Michael Dingman is charged with one count of distribution of child pornography, one count of accessing child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.
The accused was remanded into custody and is scheduled for a bail hearing in Goderich today.
The investigation is continuing.
