Ontario PC Leader In Stratford

Ontario's new Progressive Conservative leader is making several stops in Perth County this afternoon.

Patrick Brown will be touring the Wallenstein Feed Mill this morning. He'll be accompanied by Perth-Wellington MPP Randy Pettapiece, Kitchener-Conestoga MPP Michael Harris, and Wellington-Halton Hills MPP Ted Arnott.

From there, Brown and Pettapeice head to Stratford for a visit to the Ontario Pork Congress at the Stratford Rotary Complex.

Shortly after 3pm, Brown and Pettapiece will join a Pan Am Torch Relay event at Downie St. and Shakespeare Park in Stratford.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
