Drug And Weapons Charges In Harriston

A traffic stop in Harriston Thursday resulted in the arrest of three people as Wellington County OPP officers assisted Waterloo Regional Police Service with an ongoing investigation.

Two males and a female were arrested on Elora St., Harriston.

Officers seized a loaded semi-automatic handgun, a large quantity of methamphetamine, heroin, Gamma hydroxybutyrate, Canadian currency, and two vehicles.

A 25-year-old Walkerton female and a 27-year-old Kitchener male and were taken in to custody by Waterloo Regional Police charged with firearm and drug offences.

The other male was released unconditionally.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
