Huron County Multicultural Festival Goes Saturday

Huron County will celebrate its fourth annual Multicultural Festival Saturday.

It's the second year for the festival on the Courthouse Park and Cultural Services Development Officer Rick Sickenger says last year's festival was the best ever with close to 2,000 people attending.

Sickenger adds they're very pleased this year they've been designated an Ignite Event by the Pan-Am/Para-Pan-Am games so they've adopted a Pam-American theme for this year's festival.

"We'll be taking a bit of a Pan-American theme for our stage show especially," Sickenger tells CKNX News. "So we have a Columbian dance group and a steel drum group from the Caribbean."

Sickenger explains that theme will include the food and the music as well as international beer and drinks at the beer garden.

The Multicultural Festival runs from 1pm until 9pm on the Courthouse Square Saturday.
