Man Charged After Window Smashed In Owen Sound

A 22-year-old Owen Sound man is facing a mischief charge after police say he received a serious laceration while breaking a window in the downtown core Saturday.

Police say they were called about a broken window at Instant Print Shop on 3rd Ave. E at around 2:30am.

Police say there was a blood trail that left the scene.

Officials say it was around this time when they were contacted about the injured male.

According to police, he was taken to hospital where he was admitted for surgery.

He is scheduled to appear in court in July.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
